Rant#5: LOL
Internet slang sound cool and useful for online to chat but, the one word that sure drive me insane. “LOL” is my enemy language I see or “hear” it. Only when it use too often. Which I felt it’s not necessary that much.
Here is example:
Me: Hey, what’s up?
Someone: Nothing LOL
Me: What’s funny?
Someone: Nothing nothing LOL
Me: …
Worst, if someone says “LOL” in person, I want to choke him or her. Please, keep reality and virtually separate on Internet slang. Personally, I don’t feel comfortable in that kind social in real life because it doesn’t sound right.
I wouldn’t want to meet someone like this one from Ctrl+Atl+Del Online: Glossary: LOL (Webcomic).
Insane, isn’t it?

lol..just kidding
gosh, yeah i’m glad I am not the only one who feels this way. I’ve seen someone (in person) typing LOL in chat, and they weren’t even laughing, just barely breaking a smile. what’s the point ?

I feel your pain from that. When I chatted with someone online and noticed that they kept using the word “LOL” too many times and for example like that:
Someone: That’s cool lol
Me: …what’s so funny?
Someone: I don’t know nothing funny
Me: Stop using LOL even if nothing’s funny at all.
Someone: Oh? lol
Me: Bye, idiot!
Me Signed off!
That’s a point why I refused to talk anyone who is an idiot online at all and they caused me losing my IQ point which is worth 30 points. Urrgghh!
